Pares&Alvarez had the opportunity to participate in the subproject of a chlorination plant with design review, basic and detail engineering, among other services, as part of the Molyb project, developed by Codelco VP.
Pares&Alvarez is invited to participate in the Cerro Pabellón 3 project, that is, the construction of a third unit to generate 33MW, which will be added to the 48MW of the two units already in operation.
Between 2009 and 2010, Pares&Alvarez was involved in the proposal through the development of the conceptual engineering, estimating the investment required to carry out the project.
The project was developed for 2 storage silos and lime sling preparation systems, equipped with the largest switches in the industry (12 t7h).
The proposal focused on upgrading the Flash Furnace to bring the capacity from 825 ktpa to 1,170 ktpa.
The National Monuments Council, with the Archaeology and Cultural Heritage Area of Pares&Alvarez, designed a strategy for the recovery of artifacts and others.
With an estimated investment of US$ 140 million in the first phase, the project was designed to produce 1,200 l/s of drinking water through 3 construction stages.
