The Chilean company Pares&Alvarez, leading provider of engineering solutions for the mining, energy, chemical and other sectors, has appointed Héctor Quezada as the company’s new Country Manager in Australia, based in Perth.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Concepción in Chile and a master’s degree in energy and combustion from the University of Adelaide in Australia.

Héctor brings to the role years of hands-on operational management experience within the company, having spent 18 years working on projects for various sectors such as oil and gas and mining, gaining a good knowledge of the company’s capabilities.

With strong leadership skills and a solid technical background, he is known for his can-do attitude and ability to get things done. He has also excelled at building teams within the company.

Commenting on the appointment, the new Country Manager said: “We believe that as an engineering company we have a lot to contribute to the Australian industry, especially with our experience in sectors such as large-scale mining, desalination and oil and gas. In addition, the company is committed to expanding in Australia, and we are putting in place a Top-Notch team.”
